I believe that this civilization will last for a long time. I believe that love is the force that will move humanity to return to its original beginning—its soul. I believe that the love Jesus brings us is capable of changing the world to such an extent that people will be appalled by a harsh word, let alone by a more serious sin. I believe in the One who was born in a manger, crucified, risen, and living—Jesus Christ. I believe in His pure love. I believe that this love will transform mocking, violent, and evil people into very good people.

I believe that through this love, the world’s wealth will finally be distributed justly, and that rich countries will no longer exploit poor ones. I believe that Christ’s love will turn greedy people into generous ones who will share their wealth with the poorest. I believe that we, all together, will stop hunger, thirst, and disease in third-world countries. I believe that the day will come when, for the first time in history, there will be no war anywhere on Earth.

I believe in Christ’s promise of a New Heaven and a New Earth that He will one day give us, but I also believe that the time has already come to create something new—the time has come for a Civilization of Love, a civilization that will live in this world, but in the Kingdom of God.

Jesus, bless us and give us love so that we may illuminate this dark world with it. Give us love so that we may encourage those who fear the future. Give us love so that we may love as You have loved us.

And now, you who are reading this—are you wondering to whom I am speaking? Well, brother, sister, I am speaking to you. You ask where to begin building the Civilization of Love—where else if not from yourself? You still wonder when this could be achieved—when, if not now? For this is a time of grace; this is the time of salvation!
